Eyebrows:
- Here’s how to get your skin ready for the procedure.
- Do not pick/tweeze/wax/perform electrolysis one week before procedure
- Do not tan two weeks prior or have sunburned face
- Do not have any type of facial 2 weeks prior to treatment
- Do not work out the day of the procedure.
- Do not have botox 3 weeks prior
- Do not take Fish Oil or Vitamin E one week prior (natural blood thinners)
- Do not wax or tint your eyebrows 3 days before the procedure.
In order to avoid excessive bleeding and poor color deposit:
- Do not drink alcohol 24 – 48 hours before your tattoo
- Do not consume coffee before your procedure
- Do not take an aspirin or ibuprofen for pain relief (this thins the blood)
Lips:
- No alcohol 24 hours prior
- No caffeine the day of
- No blood thinners
- *If you suffer from cold sores, I suggest you take antiviral medication (ex. Acyclovir) at least 3 days prior to your appointment and continue to take it 3 days after your procedure.
- No botox in lip area or lip filler/injections 3 weeks prior to or after the procedure
- No deep exfoliation 2 weeks prior (ex. chemical peel)
- No antibiotics 2 months prior
- DO light exfoliating of lips days leading up to appointment while applying a natural lip balm to keep lips moisturized
- DO drink lots of water days prior to and leading up to the procedure.
- DO have a large well-balanced meal prior to the scheduled appointment to avoid having to eat right after the procedure.
Eyeliner:
- Do not wear mascara the day of procedure BUT you can wear your eyeliner if you want me to see how you normally apply it.
- Do not use any eyelash growth serums such as Latisse® one month prior to procedure.
- Eyelash extensions must be removed prior to treatment.
- Do not wear contacts on the day of and for 24-48 hours after procedure (Bring your reading glasses).
- Do not dye or perm lashes for two days prior and 1 week after treatment
- If you have had any type of eye surgery, consult with your physician about how long you should wait before having a permanent eyeliner procedure. Usually two months is sufficient with most physicians after lasik, cataract, and blepharoplasty.
