Get your skin ready

Eyebrows:

  • Here’s how to get your skin ready for the procedure.
  • Do not pick/tweeze/wax/perform electrolysis one week before procedure
  • Do not tan two weeks prior or have sunburned face
  • Do not have any type of facial 2 weeks prior to treatment
  • Do not work out the day of the procedure.
  • Do not have botox 3 weeks prior
  • Do not take Fish Oil or Vitamin E one week prior (natural blood thinners)
  • Do not wax or tint your eyebrows 3 days before the procedure.

In order to avoid excessive bleeding and poor color deposit:

  • Do not drink alcohol 24 – 48 hours before your tattoo
  • Do not consume coffee before your procedure
  • Do not take an aspirin or ibuprofen for pain relief (this thins the blood)

Lips:

  • No alcohol 24 hours prior
  • No caffeine the day of
  • No blood thinners
  • *If you suffer from cold sores, I suggest you take antiviral medication (ex. Acyclovir) at least 3 days prior to your appointment and continue to take it 3 days after your procedure.
  • No botox in lip area or lip filler/injections 3 weeks prior to or after the procedure
  • No deep exfoliation 2 weeks prior (ex. chemical peel)
  • No antibiotics 2 months prior
  • DO light exfoliating of lips days leading up to appointment while applying a natural lip balm to keep lips moisturized
  • DO drink lots of water days prior to and leading up to the procedure.
  • DO have a large well-balanced meal prior to the scheduled appointment to avoid having to eat right after the procedure.

Eyeliner:

  • Do not wear mascara the day of procedure BUT you can wear your eyeliner if you want me to see how you normally apply it.
  • Do not use any eyelash growth serums such as Latisse® one month prior to procedure.
  • Eyelash extensions must be removed prior to treatment.
  • Do not wear contacts on the day of and for 24-48 hours after procedure (Bring your reading glasses).
  • Do not dye or perm lashes for two days prior and 1 week after treatment 
  • If you have had any type of eye surgery, consult with your physician about how long you should wait before having a permanent eyeliner procedure. Usually two months is sufficient with most physicians after lasik, cataract, and blepharoplasty.
